The Uttar Pradesh Madarsa Education Board (UPBME) organizes the Madarsa Board exams to evaluate Islamic knowledge at different levels, such as Munshi (Secondary Persian), Maulvi (Secondary Arabic), Alim (Senior Secondary Persian/Arabic), Kamil (Persian/Arabic, 1st, 2nd, 3rd Year), and Fazil (1st, 2nd Year).
